From District Arts Coordinators
What procurement teams say after the first full academic year
Cadence submitted every compliance document before I asked — insurance certificate, background check summaries, curriculum alignment to state standards. It was the cleanest vendor onboarding our district has processed in four years.

We piloted with 28 students in the fall. By spring, 24 re-enrolled and two parents joined the PTA specifically to advocate for keeping the program. That kind of community pull is rare.

Partnership Structure & Contracts
Agreements run on a semester or annual basis and define faculty placement count, lesson format (group vs. private), scheduling windows, and revenue-sharing terms where applicable. Most school district contracts are structured as service vendor agreements and can be processed through your existing procurement system. We provide a standard template and are willing to work within your district's preferred contract framework.
Yes. Cadence carries a $2M general liability policy and a $1M professional liability (errors & omissions) policy. Certificates of insurance naming your organization as additional insured are available within 24 hours of request. All faculty hold current background clearances through the state's approved vendor.
Absolutely — and we recommend it. Our standard pilot is a 10-week cohort of 15–30 students with one faculty member. Pilots include all curriculum materials, one mid-term check-in, and a written progress summary at the close. Roughly 89% of pilot cohorts convert to full program agreements.
School district pricing is based on per-student-per-semester rates that decrease at volume thresholds: standard rate for 1–49 students, 8% reduction at 50–99 students, and 15% reduction at 100+ students. We also offer a flat monthly retainer model for districts that prefer budget predictability. All pricing is inclusive of materials, curriculum, and faculty administration.
From Music Retail Partners
How teaching programs drive instrument sales and floor traffic
Our rental returns dropped 31% in the first year of the Cadence partnership. Students who have a consistent teacher don't give up. It's that simple — and it shows on our balance sheet.

I was skeptical about a shared-space arrangement. What I got was a faculty member who refers students to our sheet music section, promotes our recital hall rentals, and treats the studio like it's their own business. Couldn't ask for more.

Scheduling, Space & Operations
Faculty can teach in any acoustically reasonable room — a classroom, a church fellowship hall, a retail back studio, or a dedicated music room. We provide a one-page room checklist (minimum square footage, piano or keyboard requirements, noise floor guidelines) that helps you assess existing spaces quickly. We do not require purpose-built studios.
We ask for a 6-week lead time before the desired start date. This allows us to confirm faculty availability, process any required background clearances for new sites, and deliver curriculum packets. For returning partners, 3 weeks is typically sufficient.
Our substitute coverage protocol guarantees a qualified replacement within 48 hours for any planned absence and within 4 hours for same-day emergencies. Substitute faculty are briefed on the relevant curriculum level and student roster before arrival. Partners are notified by email the moment a substitution is confirmed.
From Worship Music Directors
Building the next generation of congregational musicians
We needed someone who understood both classical technique and contemporary worship — not an easy combination. Cadence placed a faculty member within three weeks who now leads our junior worship team every Sunday.

Faculty Qualifications & Standards
All faculty hold at minimum a bachelor's degree in music performance or music education from an accredited institution. 74% hold master's degrees or conservatory diplomas. Specializations include Suzuki certification (violin and piano), ABRSM certification, and contemporary commercial music (CCM) pedagogy. Faculty files including transcripts, certifications, and background clearance summaries are available upon request.
Yes. For all new placements, we offer a 30-minute video introduction between the assigned faculty member and your program coordinator before the first lesson day. For worship and retail partnerships where faculty personality is especially important, we can arrange an in-person meet-and-greet at no additional cost.
Faculty submit written progress reports at the midpoint and close of each semester for every enrolled student. Reports include skill benchmarks against our standardized rubric, attendance records, and a recommended pathway for the following term. District partners can request reports in a format compatible with their existing student information systems.
